Industrial safety helmets
Specifies physical and performance requirements, test methods and marking requirements for industrial safety helmets. The mandatory requirements apply to helmets for general industrial use. Additional optional performance requirements are included in case they are explicitly claimed by the manufacturer. Industrial safety helmets are primarily intended to provide the wearer with protection from falling objects and their consequences such as brain injury and skull fracture.
Industiral bump caps
Specifies physical and performance requirements, test methods and characterisation requirements for industrial bump caps. Industrial bump caps are designed to protect the wearer when the head impacts against hard, stationary objects with sufficient force to cause a laceration or other superficial injury. Bump caps do not provide protection against the impact of falling or thrown objects or moving or suspended loads. NOTE An industrial bump cap must not be confused with an industrial safety helmet in accordance with EN 397.
