Ear muffs - General requirements
Specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance, characterisation and user information of earmuffs. A particular focus is on sound attenuation. It applies exclusively to earmuffs intended for defined head sizes and excludes models for attachment to head or face protection systems.

Ear plugs - General requirements
Specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance, characterisation and user information of earplugs. A particular focus is on sound attenuation. Ergonomic aspects are taken into account - in particular the interaction between user, product and working environment in which the ear plugs are typically used.

Earmuffs attached to head protection and/or face protection devices - General requirements
Specifies requirements for the construction, design, performance, characterisation and user information of fixed earmuffs. A particular focus is on sound attenuation. It applies to earmuffs that are attached to head or face protection. Ergonomic aspects and use in the working environment are taken into account.
