NO MORE PUSHING AND SLIPPING - HOW TO FIT YOUR SHOES PERFECTLY

Before the first tool is used, machines start up or construction sites wake up, an often underestimated moment occurs: the safety shoes are put on. What seems obvious at first glance is the beginning of many hours of stress.

After all, who hasn't experienced it: the working day has barely begun and the shoes are already pinching in all sorts of places. Every step becomes more uncomfortable and every movement a challenge. What still fits in the morning becomes a real strain over the course of the day - with possible consequences for posture, muscles and health. The good news is that this can be avoided with precise foot measurement. If you know your measurements, it's easier to find shoes that fit perfectly - for noticeably more comfort, stability and ergonomics in everyday working life.

Three measurement points are crucial here: Foot length, foot width and foot circumference - together they form the basis for a safe step.

Don't have much time?
Then use our measuring sheet to determine the correct shoe size. Simply print it out borderless on an A3 and put your foot on it.

HOW TO MEASURE CORRECTLY

Only those who measure accurately will find the right shoes. Because standard sizes often say little about the actual fit. The left and right feet are often not identical. To determine the ideal size, both feet should be measured and the larger value selected for sizing.

The three measurements together provide a clear picture:

A - Foot length: Measured from the back of the heel to the longest toe. For optimum comfort, you should allow around 15 mm extra room for maneuver - this is roughly the width of a thumb.

B - Foot width: Across the ball of the foot. Too narrow a fit can lead to friction, heat build-up and fatigue.

C - Foot circumference: Once around the forefoot, also measured over the ball of the foot. The circumference helps determine whether a model is suitable for narrower or wider feet - an important factor for a snug fit and comfortable wear.

WHY THE FIT DECIDES

Safety shoes in the wrong size are not only uncomfortable - they can also lead to serious health risks in the long term. If they pinch, they cause blisters, pressure points or poor posture. If they are too loose, they lack the necessary support - and this increases the risk of stumbling, twisting an ankle or injury.

Therefore, only those who know their feet exactly can make the right choice. Precise foot measurement is the key to accurately fitting shoes - and therefore to greater stability, longer wearing comfort and lasting safety at work, day after day.

IN SHORT: THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

1. measure foot length, width and circumference

2. allow approx. 15 mm clearance in the toe area

3. compare in the size chart

4. choose the right shoes according to protection class and area of use

These steps lay the foundation for safety, comfort and health in the workplace.
