The EN 149:2001+A1:2009 standard specifies minimum requirements for filtering half masks as respiratory protective devices for protection against particles, except for escape purposes. WITH OR WITHOUT A VALVE?

LABELING OF MASKS
To enable you to see at a glance what a mask is suitable for, particle-filtering half masks are labeled with additional abbreviations:+ D - Mask has passed the dolomite dust test – this stands for higher dust storage capacity and longer service life without saturation.
+ NR - Non-Reusable – mask is only suitable for one shift (max. one working day).
+ R - Reusable – mask can be used multiple times if expressly permitted by the manufacturer.
Depending on exposure and moisture development, the actual wearing time may also be shorter – especially during intensive physical activity or high particle concentration.
