MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FINISHING OF ORTHOPAEDIC SAFETY SHOES ACCORDING TO DGUV RULE 112-191
These manufacturing instructions define the individual work steps and specify the material components to be used for the finishing of safety shoes. This is necessary to ensure conformity with the type examination certificate even after the finishing has been manufactured. In case of deviation from this instruction, the type examination certificate expires!
This manufacturing instruction allows the following typical orthopaedic adjustments to be made:
1. Shoe elevations of up to 30 mm (measured in the heel area)
2. Shoe elevations of up to 15 mm in the ball area
3. Inner and outer rim elevations
4. Rolling aids (bunion roller/midfoot roller etc.)
5. Heel elevation
The adjustment is approved for the following NITRAS models:
MATERIAL COMPONENTS
- Starpur, black, ESD 3/6/9/18 mm (raising material)
- Star HD, heel plate, 5.5 mm (for the tip area)
- Köraplast 182, antistatic, 0.64 kg
- Köracur TR 280
These finishing materials can be used for the SPORT STEP, EASY STEP and MICRO STEP series.basic products are the standard NITRAS safety shoes.
MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS
1. The sole of the safety shoe is cut parallel to the insole. 2. the cut surfaces of the shoe and the sole are ground straight so that they are free of unevenness.

3. The Star HD reinforcement material is glued to the cut surface in the toe area of the shoe up to 10 mm behind the toe cap edge.
a) Roughen the toe material and also the sole material in this area.
b) Coat both surfaces with the antistatic adhesive Köraplast 182 A from Kömmerling as a first and main coat. The adhesive Köraplast 182 A must be mixed with 5% of the hardener Köracur TR280.
c) Allow a drying time of 15 - 20 minutes.
d) Activate the adhesive surfaces with a heating device (hot air gun / oven etc).
e) Press with the aid of a sole press immediately after the activation process.
4. The Starpur material is then worked in as a raising material in the necessary material thickness between the shoe and the cut-off sole. The same bonding instructions apply as described under point 3 a) to e).
5. The cut-off sole must be glued to the Starpur raising material from below. The same gluing procedure as described in points 3 a) to e) applies.
6. Finally, the shoe must be properly trimmed (lateral grinding of the cut edges and the build-up surfaces as well as deburring of the edge of the outsole).
In principle, the finishing may only be carried out with the material components and auxiliary materials prescribed above.
