On February 22, 2026, AS Arbeitsschutz GmbH will celebrate its 40th anniversary. What began in 1986 with a basic range of protective gloves in a small garage in Bergheim is now an international company with almost 100 employees. We can look back on four decades of development, responsibility, and commitment - driven by our commitment to providing reliable occupational safety solutions that combine safety, quality, and practicality.

Throughout all these years, our focus has always been on people: both the users of our products and the employees who work passionately every day to further develop them.

DEVELOPMENT WITH A CLEAR GOAL

Since its inception, NITRAS has continuously developed and expanded its portfolio step by step. Over the years, the original focus on hand protection has evolved into a full range of personal protective equipment and workwear that is tailored to the requirements of modern working environments. This range has been sensibly supplemented with the targeted addition of medical and hygiene products. The focus has always been on creating practical solutions that reliably support everyday work.

Today, NITRAS stands for a well-designed, comprehensive range of products from a single source, with a focus on protection, quality, and functionality - developed with practicality and everyday use in mind, as well as the ever-growing demands placed on modern occupational safety solutions.

RESPONSIBILITY THAT CONTINUES TO HAVE AN IMPACT

In recent years, NITRAS has made targeted investments in future-oriented areas: the construction of a logistics center built to sustainable standards, the introduction of modern ERP and PIM systems, and the NITRAS NOW sustainability label are providing important impetus for efficiency, transparency, and responsible action. Certifications such as ISO 14001, membership of amfori BSCI, and the EcoVadis silver medal underline this commitment.

These developments are not the end, but part of a long-term journey.

On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, NITRAS is combining a look back with a concrete contribution to society: as part of an anniversary fundraising campaign, 40.000 euros will be donated to various charitable organizations - a visible sign of social responsibility in action.
