Eye and face protection for operational applications
Specifies general requirements for eye and face protection devices. These protective devices are intended to protect the eyes and face of persons from typical occupational hazards, such as the impact of flying particles and fragments, optical radiation, dust, splashes, molten metal, heat, flames, hot solids, harmful gases, vapours and aerosols.

Warnings:
If the strength level symbols for the viewing panel/filter and support body are not the same, the lower strength level must be assigned to the complete protective device. The complete protective device only provides the protection corresponding to the code numbers or code letters 7, 9, CH if the lens and the support body have the same symbol. Protective devices that have been exposed to an impact must no longer be used and must be discarded and replaced. Scratched or damaged lenses must be replaced. This protective device is suitable for use with the 1-M test head.

Note: Some national requirements may specify a different wavelength limit for UV-A radiation. Additional lighting may be required. Not suitable for driving at night or in poor lighting conditions.

UV 400 protection is important as it protects the eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It means that the safety goggles block all rays with a wavelength of up to 400 nanometers.
Specifies that the lenses are resistant to fogging (marking: N).
Indicates that the viewing panels are scratch-resistant (marking: K).
Indicates that the lenses have an abrasion-resistant coating.
Indicates that the lenses have an Anti-Fog-Coating.
